Did Marvels Pom Klementieff Just Reveal An Avengers 4 Spoiler?

The MCU is known for its secrets, allowing the tons of moviegoers who shell out money for tickets a full experience at the theater. And with the entire shared universe coming to a head with Avengers 4, the pressure is on to remain tight lipped about the final two installments in Phase Three. This is easier said than done, as the endless amounts of press can make it hard for directors and actors keep their cards close to the chest. Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo are definitely Marvel's biggest offenders, although now it looks like Guardians of the Galaxy actress Pom Klementieff may have potentially revealed an exciting team-up for Avengers 4. When discussing the letter she Marvel ladies signed in solidarity with the #TimesUp movement, Klementieff revealed it happened on set, saying:

It's scary and it's beautiful, too. I remember Brie Larsen coming to me and Danai Gurira on the set of The Avengers and she told me about the [Time's Up] letter to sign and I found it really amazing to have all these women --- and men too --- together in fighting for a better world.

Does anyone else have chills? While far from an official confirmation, it appears that the likes of Mantis, Black Panther's Okoye, and Brie Larson's Captain Marvel may end up in one scene when Avengers 4 hits theaters next year. Now the question is: how?

Pom Klementieff's comments to Paper Magazine are sure to set the internet ablaze, as moviegoers are absolutely rabid for any information regarding Avengers 4. No one could have predicted the way Avengers: Infinity War ended, and the general public is at a loss regarding where The Russo Brothers will take the story next. Thanos succeeded in wiping out half the galaxy, and there were a ton of heroes lost in the process. This includes Klementieff's Mantis, who faded to dust alongside Drax and Groot during the film's final moments.

Since Infinity War was released, fans haven't stopped theorizing about how the dusted characters might return to the world of the living. One popular theory is that they're all alive in the Soul Stone, while other believe time travel would come into play. Captain Marvel will also join the main narrative of the MCU, after being heralded by Nick Fury's communication in Infinity War's post-credits scene. While Carol Danvers and Okoye's meeting seems inevitable, it'll take a big plot twist to bring Mantis into the same scenes.

Pom Klementieff isn't the only Guardians of the Galaxy star who is getting chatty lately. Dave Bautista recently revealed he'd worked on great scenes for Avengers 4, although James Gun's firing by Disney may change how the characters end up.

Triple Frontiers Big Twist Even Surprised Its Premiere Audience

Warning: SPOILERS for Netflixs Triple Frontier are in play. If you havent seen the film yet and would like to remain unspoiled, please bookmark this story and return once youve caught up.

Towards the end of Triple Frontiers second act, a pretty big death occurs. As the team of veteran warfighters are making their way through the treacherous mountains that stand between them and their rich escape, a surprise shooter gets the jump on the team.

That shooter is the son of a farmer murdered by Ben Afflecks Tom Redfly Davis, and as fast as you can say karma, the young man sneaks up behind Redfly and shoots him in the head. If you thought you were surprised when co-writer/director J.C. Chandor dropped that twist into the film, just wait until you hear about how the audience at the films big premiere, courtesy of two of the films producers.

During a recent talk with CinemaBlend, producers Charles Roven, Alex Gartner and Andy Horowitz were on hand to discuss Triple Frontier, one of the recent Netflix projects made under their Atlas Entertainment production company. In particular, it was Roven and Horowitz who recounted how Triple Frontiers killer reveal hit one of the first audiences to see the film. That story went as follows:

Roven: In our premiere screening, the whole auditorium gasped. It was, really, nobody saw it coming.Horowitz: As soon as you saw that guy pop up behind [Ben Affleck,] there was just an audible gasp. And then, of course, when the deed happened, I remember people around me just screaming, No! It was really quite a moment at the premiere.

As if surprising audiences watching Triple Frontier at home wasnt enough, Ben Afflecks big death scene turned a Hollywood premiere into a setting as interesting as any theater showing a moment of that caliber. Listening to Charles Roven and Andy Horowitz discussing this moment only made the story that much sweeter, as you could tell that they had a lot of fun keeping that big twist secret.

Hearing that the Triple Frontier twist played so well in front of an audience of professional peers is pretty entertaining, but its also pretty much a vindication of the request that Ben Affleck made for Redflys fate during the production of the film.

During the extensive reworking that J.C. Chandor had done on the original Mark Boal script for the film, Affleck had the idea to sacrifice Redfly instead of an unnamed secondary character. This idea met with the approval of the powers that be, and flash -orward to the finished product, youre met a tense as hell gun battle in the mountains. Its also capped off by one of the most surprising movie deaths since Janet Leigh in Psycho.

The shifting rhythm of Triple Frontiers action-fueled and drama-driven halves of the plot at hand needed a moment to jump start its pulse, so as to shake up the audience. Redflys death did just that, and if focus group data isnt enough to support that, then try the fact that even those who work in the Hollywood industry had their minds blown during that fateful premiere of this very film. A fact that makes any possible sequel talk all the more complicated, because how do you beat a moment like that?

Toy Story 4 Is Going To Have More Easter Eggs Than You Can Count

If you're a serious Pixar fan, then you probably enjoy hunting for classic Pixar easter eggs. From the Pizza Planet truck to the Luxo Ball, there are always little hidden nods to the history and future of Pixar in every feature film the company produces, but Toy Story 4 is going to put them all to shame, as the movie may very well have more easter eggs hidden inside it than it is possible to count.

Last month i had a chance to visit Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville, California. While there i had a chance to take a pretty deep dive into the production of Toy Story 4 including the new locations the story will visit. One of those locations, as viewed in the trailer, is an antiques mall where Woody sees that Bo Peep has ended up, and where we meet the film's villain, the doll Gabby Gabby.

I spoke with Pixar Sets Supervisor Thomas Jordan and Sets Technical Director Rosie Cole about the work they did creating the mall, and they reveled how much work they did creating all the references. According to Jordan...

In the antique mall in particular there's so many objects that are just beyond the view of the characters and there's lots of fun things, especially easter eggs and homages to other Pixar films and jokes that you would get if you watched all of our movies.

The antiques mall is just full of objects. It's packed to the ceiling with stuff. However, it's not just any stuff. As the animation team responsible for creating the environment revealed, a lot of the objects that have placed around the characters are actually easter eggs referencing all sorts of other Pixar films.

Among the easter eggs to look out for in the Toy Story 4 antique store:

Elastigirl's Elasticycle from Incredibles 2 can be seen as a toyA scream canister from Monsters Inc is partially visibleA pinball machine that uses the Maori statues from the aquarium from Finding NemoA record of "Remember Me" from Coco playing on a gramophone

Not every easter egg in Toy Story 4 can be found in the antique store however. The other major location seen in the Toy Story 4 trailer is a carnival, and and Thomas Jordan let me know about one very fitting Pixar easter egg that will be visible there.

The balloon cart from Up, because Carl was a balloon salesman. His balloon cart, complete with the balloons are in the carnival.

Several Pixar easter eggs are seen in all, or nearly all, of the studio's films. The Luxo Ball, the yellow ball with the red star on it, that was screen in Pixar's first short Luxo Jr. Can be seen as a sticker on the toy rockers in the image above from the trailer. The Pizza Planet truck, which made its debut in the original Toy Story will appear in Toy Story 4 as well, though Thomas Jordan told me in won't appear in a way that viewers might expect.

The Pizza Planet truck is in the movie, but its seen in a very unusual way. I think the audience will see it, and I think they will be surprised.

Another Pixar tradition is placing an easter egg for Pixar's next film in the current one. That means that we'll see a reference to Pixar's Onward at some point. I asked for a hint as to where we'll be able to see it. The only thing I was told was where it won't be found.

We can tell you it is not in the antiques mall.

Of course, since very little of Onward has been shown to the public, there's a decent chance we won't even know what the easter egg was until after we see the movie in 2020.

I asked the team how many easter eggs that they'd created might not even be visible in Toy Story 4 because they'd been covered by other objects, potentially other easter eggs, and they admitted that might very well be the case. It seems that to see every reference that the new film has to offer, it will either require multiple viewings in the theater, or more likely, a frame by frame analysis once Toy Story 4 comes out on Blu-ray.
